Heroes of the fallen.

Heroes of the fallen is a Charity in the process of being organised to raise money for the families who go through extremely tough times to cope with their own lives after their loved ones have been killed in service.  Mr Springthorpe amongst friends are currently in the training phase to build personal fitness so that they can achieve a march on foot from John O’Groats to lands end in Dorset while carrying a stretcher with a small person onboard.

We shall be approaching local business's for sponsorship to raise funds towards the charity mid 2011.

All monies raised will go towards the charity.

Charity Organiser:    Mr Simon Springthorpe - Ex Parachute Regiment Soldier.

Simon Springthorpe who now lives in the Coventry served 5 years in the first Battalion the Parachute Regiment.

Deployed on Operations:

Being deployed to Northern Ireland (Drumcree Riots) - help keep peace while the protesters marched through Drumcree NI.

Being deployed to Sierra Leone in the year 2000 when hostages where taken by the west side boys of sierra Leone, members of the Parachute regiment and SAS deployed on a rescue mission. More Details
